Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead assigned projects in plant engineering or product development.
- Employ cost-competitive engineering techniques for project execution.
- Review vendor equipment documentation and resolve discrepancies.
- Understand client requirements, address design parameters, and implement solutions.
- Independently evaluate, organize, and prioritize engineering work.
- Collaborate with Project Specialists and Lead Engineers.
- Estimate effort hours and plan projects according to schedules.
- Manage procurement of mechanical equipment (added advantage).
- Review equipment/material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting.
- Ensure adherence to industry codes, standards, and departmental practices.
- Analyze and recommend solutions for complex engineering problems.
- Organize and manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines effectively.
- Train and mentor junior engineers.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in plant engineering or product development.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and piping engineering principles.
- Proven experience in project leadership and vendor documentation review.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Hands-on experience with procurement of mechanical equipment (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and mentoring capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Professional certifications in piping or mechanical design (preferred).
- Proficiency in engineering software/tools used in plant design.
