Role : Manager / Sr. Manager – Mechanical
Location : Chennai (5 days work from office only)

About the Role:
The Manager Senior Manager – Mechanical will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and
implementation of innovative mechanical systems and components. This position requires a deep
understanding of engineering principles to ensure that projects meet both functional and safety
standards. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects from concept
through to production, ensuring that all designs are efficient and cost-effective. Additionally, the role
involves mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
Ultimately, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the advancement of our products,
ensuring they meet the highest quality standards and customer expectations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- M.E. / M.Tech
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 12 to 15 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with project management and leading engineering teams.
- Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools.
- Prior experience in solar energy, heavy steel structures, EPC, or tracker systems is highly preferred
- Experience working with US or international customers is an advantage
- Experience in a specific industry such as aerospace, automotive, or consumer products.
- Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and analysis of mechanical systems and components using CAD software.
- Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to validate design concepts.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure integrated product
development.
- Oversee the testing and validation of prototypes to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Provide technical mentorship and support to junior engineers and interns.
Mechanical Engineering & Design
- Lead mechanical design and development of solar tracker systems, structural components,
and mounting solutions
- Review and approve mechanical drawings, calculations, and technical documentation
- Ensure designs comply with international standards (ASCE, AISC, Eurocode, IS, ASTM)
and customer specifications
- Oversee wind load, seismic, structural, and fatigue analysis
Product Development & Standardization
- Drive continuous improvement, value engineering, and cost optimization initiatives
- Support new product development, testing, validation, and design qualification
- Standardize mechanical designs and engineering best practices across projects
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in structural & mechanical design for solar / steel structures
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks / Creo / Inventor, and structural analysis tools
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global, matrix organization
Skills:
The required skills in mechanical design and CAD software are essential for creating detailed
engineering drawings and specifications that guide the manufacturing process. Problem-solving skills
are utilized daily to address design challenges and optimize product performance. Collaboration skills
are crucial as the engineer will work closely with other departments to ensure that all aspects of the

SALARY BAND
- 20 to 25 Lakhs Fixed salary + Shares + Bonus + Benefits
